A Thing Called Work

I don’t have a 9-5 type job. Therefore, since I make up my own hours and my own tasks it can be pretty difficult trying to figure out exactly what I’m supposed to be doing on a day to day basis. I have an idea of the goals I’ve set for myself. I’m just having trouble figuring out where to start.

Do I film something? Do I write something? Do I edit something? Am I supposed to be calling or emailing someone? I don’t know. Sometimes I just do something busy (like cooking) all to make sure I’m not laying on my bed watching pornography: a scene that I know too well… which makes me feel even shittier.

The question becomes, how do I get to work? What do I need to do so I can be on that, as they say, “hustling grind?” Well, that’s why I’m writing this article because I’m going to motivate myself to get to work, by telling you what needs to be done to get yourself working.

Inactivity and Momentum

Inactivity or inertia is not a place you want to be in your life. I say this with extreme fervor because if you allow yourself to stay inert, I feel, you are giving up on your goals.

Of course I sound extreme but if you’re not moving, if you’re not creating some sort of momentum, you are essentially as good as a couch slob.

What’s crazy is that momentum and inactivity are always fighting each other and both are deadly for your own sake.
