Hello! 👋 I’m Jonathan Gaurano!
Jonathan Gaurano is a Filipino-American TV writer, actor, and UC Berkeley graduate who co-wrote the Peacock original series People Like Me (2025), a dramedy about therapy, friendship, and the chaos of being human.
At UC Berkeley, he became the first Filipino Independent ASUC Senator, helping organize a 5,000+ person protest against tuition hikes, launching a mental health scholarship, and leading divestment efforts that drew attention from Naomi Klein and Noam Chomsky.
Before working in TV, Jonathan founded DoGoodMedia, a creative studio that specialized in emotionally-driven storytelling and viral digital strategy. Through this work, he directed and consulted on campaigns that reached 5 billion+ views and helped build audiences of 40+ million followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
He got his start behind the camera with Uber carpool videos that went viral (like Can’t Feel My Face Carpool), eventually earning shoutouts from The Weeknd, TMZ, and Ryan Seacrest. He hosted a podcast called “The Bottle Club Pod” which garnered over 100k followers and Facebook Audio rooms among other hosting opportunities.
Regardless – today, Jonathan focuses on writing and acting in projects that help people feel a little more seen.
